A pair of Edwardian Arts and Crafts oak side chairs, in the manner of M.H. Baillie Scott, the arched top rails above angular central splats carved with stylized flowers, raised on shaped block legs, height 106cm, width 40cm (lacking rush seats). Note: the carved motif on the back of these chairs are reminiscent of a stylized flower on a music cabinet designed by Baillie Scott, illustrated in 'British Furniture 1880-1915' by Pauline Agius, p.110.
