A Chinese cloisonné enamel and gilt metal mounted incense burner and cover, later Qing dynasty, the compressed circular body decorated with a formal design of polychrome lotus and scrolling tendrils, framing four black characters, on a turquoise ground, flanked by a pair of gilt metal dragon handles, on Buddhistic lion mask and tongue tripod legs, the domed cover with enamel ruyi collar and pierced bats and clouds beneath a cast and pierced dragon and cloud finial, height 43cm.
