A Chinese Yixing stoneware teapot and matching two-handled sugar bowl and cover, late 19th/early 20th century, each swollen cylindrical body decorated in low relief with a recumbent scholar opposing lines of incised text, the teapot with pierced inner strainer and matched cover, heights 15.5cm and 13.5cm.
