A George III Scottish mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the brass break arch dial with silvered chapter ring, date aperture and subsidiary second dial, beneath a silvered boss to arch inscribed 'George Monro, Edinburgh', the hood with swan neck pediment above a glazed door flanked by fluted columns with gilt metal Corinthian capitals, the trunk with arched door flanked by fluted corner columns on plain base and bracket feet, height 226cm, with pendulum, two weights and winding key.
