A Doulton Lambeth stoneware brass mounted table oil lamp base, late 19th century, of ogee baluster form decorated in relief with an aesthetic design of snake, fish and bird filled roundels and abstract panels, and branches of prunus with birds perched amongst blossom, against a mottled pink and cream ground, impressed factory marks and incised artist's monogram 'MA' to base, height 31.5cm (faults).
