A Japanese carved ivory noh mask netsuke, Meiji/Taisho period, modelled as Obeshimi, with carved and pierced features and incised and stained hair, unsigned, length 4.9cm, together with an ivory clam shell netsuke, the interior finely worked with fishermen, boat and tree, incised and stained two character mark to base, length 5.2cm.
