George Frederic Watts - A collection of fourteen drawings, mostly in pastel and chalk, including a head study of St. George, 29cm x 24cm, a study of Bishop Lonsdale's tomb, four figure studies for the Court of Death and five studies for Ellen Terry's clothing. Provenance: gifted by G.F. Watts and his wife Mary to their ward, Lilian Mackintosh, who married Michael Chapman in 1906. Their son, Ronald Chapman, later wrote a biography of Watts.
