An early/mid-20th century Indian purple and gilt woven silk needlework bag, length 40cm, together with an accompanying letter, dated 1942, stating that it had been made by 'Mrs McClintoch from Indian silk bought in Bombay in the year 1880 by the Duke of Connaught', together with an Indian silk and metal thread embroidered shawl with attached label, inscribed 'Lilac embroidery given to Lady Willingdon by an Indian lady 1936'.
