An early 19th century pocket compass, the circular printed card dial inscribed 'Magnetic Sundial, S. Porter Fecit', the turned lignum vitae circular box and screw cover applied with a printed paper label, inscribed 'Patronized by the King, Porter Magnetic Sun Dial', diameter 5.8cm.
