A George III figured mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the brass breakarch dial with silvered, strike/silent indicator to arch above a silvered chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and Arabic minutes, framing a matt centre with silvered subsidiary seconds, date aperture and arched plaque inscribed 'John Evans. London', all cornered with cast and pierced foliate scroll spandrels, the hood with moulded arch pediment above a glazed door and brass stop fluted columns, the trunk with arched door and stop fluted corner columns, on a panelled base and bracket feet, height 219cm, with pendulum and two weights (minor alterations and faults).
