A late 19th century French lacquered brass and champlevé enamel mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a gong, the backplate stamped with 'E. Maurice & Co' maker's mark, the enamel circular dial with black Arabic hour numerals and flower festoons, the matt gilt surround inscribed 'Maple & Co Paris', the case with domed top and cast foliate finials above Corinthian columns and side panels with polychrome enamelled foliate decoration, on a stepped rectangular base and beaded turned feet, height 26cm, with winding key.
