LOT 1085
A mid to late 19th century French ormolu and porcelain mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the backplate engraved 'Martin Baskett & Martin Paris', the similarly signed porcelain rectangular dial with gilt Roman numerals above two seated cupids, all against a pale green ground, each side panel filled with a cupid holding a basket of flowers aloft, the case cast with a seated classical maiden and lyre surmount above repeated swag and scroll borders and female caryatid corner columns on a rectangular base with winged paw feet, height 26.5cm, with pendulum.
