Engraved frontispiece, numerous plates. (Light browning and spotting.) Contemporary red morocco blocked in gilt and blind, by Alexander Banks Junior, spine in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second compartment, gilt gauffered edges (extremities scuffed, rebacked with old spine laid-down, corners and hinges reinforced). - And a quantity of other volumes relating to steam. Provenance: from the estate of the late Michael Gilkes FRCS, FRCOphth., FRGS (a quantity).
