(Light browning, some spotting, soiling and chips to margins, 5 plates lacking [plates I-V of 'Crampton's Patent Locomotive Engine' and plate III from the eighth paper].) Modern half-morocco (endpapers replaced). Provenance: Institute of Transport Library (inkstamp to title-page); from the estate of the late Michael Gilkes FRCS, FRCOphth., FRGS.
