A mid-19th century brass bound mahogany cased surgeon's set, the compartmentalized interior fitted with ivory handled instruments, detailed 'Savigny & Co', the hinged lid inset with a brass plaque inscribed 'Westminster Hospital, Prize for Physiology, Sessions 1863-4, George Paddock Bate', length 20.5cm.
