An impressive Japanese exhibition quality brown patinated bronze floor standing koro, Meiji/Taisho period, made in three major sections, the cover surmounted with an eagle and pheasant, the ovoid body cast with opposing relief panels, one side with kylin and ho-o bird, the other with birds and blossoming prunus branch, flanked by a pair of detachable dragon handles, all raised on dragon column and wave swept circular base, total height 188cm.
