A Japanese Sumida pottery jug, Meiji period, the cylindrical body decorated in relief with two figures seated on rocks against a matt iron red ground, beneath a dripping brown and cream glaze to neck, applied with an oval plaque with underglaze blue two character mark below handle, height 31.5cm (some faults).
