A Chinese bronze kylin mirror stand and mirror, Ming dynasty, the recumbent horned beast modelled with its head turned back toward a stylized cloud and crescent on its back, supporting an archaic circular mirror, one side cast with various animals and birds, length 19cm, with wood stand, total height 25cm. Note: bearing old collector's label to interior of kylin, inscribed 'Chinese mirror-stand Confucian unicorn early Ming W.R-S Col.', and red painted collector's mark/number 'C.M.28' to wood stand.
