A Japanese Satsuma earthenware two handled vase by Hozan, Meiji period, the compressed ovoid body painted and gilt with opposing panels, one filled with figures in a landscape, the other with bijin seated on a terrace, reserved against a blue ground decorated with gilt kiri mon, repeated on the flared narrow neck and circular foot, gilt signature to base, height 16.5cm.
