A George III ebonized bracket clock, the brass four pillar eight day twin fusee movement with anchor escapement, rise and fall regulation, striking hours on a bell with pull-repeat mechanism, the brass backplate with finely engraved flowers and scrolls, the brass break arch dial with subsidiary strike/silent and pendulum regulation dials, flanking a recessed silvered plaque to arch inscribed 'Jacob Taverner, London', above matt centre with date aperture framed by a silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and outer Arabic minutes, all cornered with cast and pierced gilt foliate spandrels, the case with bell top and brass carry handle above a glazed front and back door and pierced brass fret panels on a moulded rectangular base and bracket feet, height 50cm, with pendulum (formerly a verge escapement, some alterations and restoration).
