A Japanese Satsuma earthenware diminutive jar and cover by Yabu Meizan, Meiji period, the ovoid body finely painted and gilt with a continuous lakeside landscape of pavilions, boats, trees, mountains and a figure crossing a bridge with Mount Fuji beyond, above a millefleurs band, all between white flowerhead and black ground borders, the cover with millefleurs panel, gilt signature to base, height 6.4cm.
