LOT 939
An early 19th century Anglo-Indian black lacquered and gilt decorated chest stand, Bareilly area, later fitted with a rectangular green hardstone top, the frieze decorated with a continuous band of scrolling foliage and flowerheads, raised on finely carved double 'C' scroll supports decorated in relief with acanthus leaves, terminating in reeded feet, height 50cm, length 95cm, depth 65cm (later fitted top and lacking chest).
