A pair of exceptional Japanese silver mounted shibayama inlaid gold lacquer vases, Meiji period, each gilt ground lacquer ovoid body finely inlaid in mother-of-pearl, tortoiseshell, and variously stained hardstones with baskets of flowers on stands, flower filled vases, censer and wine pot, applied with silver simulated bamboo handles and stands, the necks mounted with star shaped collars finely chased with flowers, unsigned, height approx 19cm (minor faults and repairs).
