A rare Chinese blue and white porcelain brush pot (bitong), Transitional period, mid-17th Century, of tall cylindrical form, finely painted with a continuous scene depicting horses and three female acrobat riders galloping through a woodland landscape with trees, rocks and mist, between incised line borders, unmarked, height approx 22cm (small chip to rim).
