A Japanese lacquer picnic set (sage-jubako), early 20th Century, the rectangular carrying case mounted with a silver swing handle above a sliding openwork front, removing to reveal an arrangement of three boxes and covers above a larger rectangular box and cover, all decorated with gilt minnows on a dark brown/black ground, height including handle approx 21cm (minor faults).
