A group of five Second World War medals, comprising 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal and War Medal, mounted on a bar as worn, together with a silk panel, printed with an Allied fighter's request for help against the Japanese in seventeen languages with Union Jack in upper left corner, approx 48cm x 29cm, a wooden plaque applied with 253 and 92 Squadron badges and three brass plates, engraved 'Kenley 1940', 'N. Africa 1942' and 'Sqn. Ldr. Jefferson H. Wedgwood D.F.C. and Bar', a copy of W.G.R. Hinchliffe's log book, covering period 23/6/16 to 13/3/28, limited edition Copy No. 6, presented to Captain O.P. Jones in January 1970, an interesting telegram to Lord Brockett, dated 24/8/39, reading 'Suggest you approach Halifax in our joint names urging immediate personal visit of Himself Premier and Burgin to Hitler to urge unprejudiced conference having previously promised country no weakening of policy Hamilton Oversands Harlech', a book on German secret weapons, etc.
