A pair of late Victorian mahogany bar and comb back dining chairs by Maple & Co, after a design by E.W. Godwin, the backs inlaid with fan paterae and foliate scrolls, raised on turned tapering legs. Note: a similar armchair can be seen in 'The Secular Furniture of E.W. Godwin' by Susan Weber Soros, page 131.
