An impressive Japanese six-panel screen, Edo period, painted with a continuous scene of the Battle of Yashima in 1185, depicting the Minamoto archer Nasu No Yoichi riding out to sea on horseback to shoot an arrow at a fan being held tauntingly by a Taira clan noble woman, total approx 175cm x 366cm (some faults and repairs).
