A rare William IV silver rectangular snuffbox, the hinged lid cast in relief with the scene of 'Mr Pickwick Addresses the Club', after the original etched illustration by Robert Seymour for The Posthumous Papers of The Pickwick Club by Charles Dickens, the thumbpiece and borders cast with flowers and scrolls, the sides reeded with engine turned base, the interior gilt, Birmingham 1834 by Thomas Shaw, weight approx 187.9g, length approx 8.5cm.
