An early Victorian silver large rectangular Officers' Mess table snuffbox, the hinged lid cast in relief with a heavy border of roses, thistles and foliage, framing an engine turned centre, the engine turned base framing a presentation inscription 'Presented by Lieutenant Marron to the 12th Depot Mess, Feby 8th 1842', London 1839 by Edward Edwards, weight approx 443.5g, length approx 12.8cm.
