L'ESTRANGE, A.G. The Literary Life of the Rev. William Harness… in one volume. London: Hurst and Blackett, 1871. First edition, 8vo (216 x 136mm.) Extra-illustrated with 19 plates. (Light browning and spotting, heavier spotting to plates and opposing leaves, minor marginal tear without loss to p.239.) Contemporary half-morocco, spine gilt in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second, the others with repeat foliate decoration tooled in gilt, t.e.g. (extremities bumped and scuffed, some loss to leather). Provenance: Alex Bridge (bookplate to front pastedown, ink inscription dated '10.10.1963' to front-free endpaper).
