A George III mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the brass break arch dial with rolling moon to arch above a silvered chapter ring with Roman hours, Arabic minutes and inner date ring, framing a silvered centre with engraved foliate scrolls and inscribed 'Simpson Wigton', cornered by cast and pierced gilt scroll spandrels, the hood with swan neck pediment, glazed door and turned columns, the trunk door with shaped top flanked by fluted corner columns, on a plain base and ogee bracket feet, height approx 224cm, with pendulum and two weights (some faults).
