A George III oak longcase clock with thirty hour movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the brass break arch dial with rolling moon to arch beneath inscription 'Joseph Batty Halifax', the silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing an engraved centre depicting Neptune above a ship centred subsidiary date dial, the hood with swan neck pediment and turned urn finial, above a glazed door and turned columns, the trunk door with shaped top, flanked by fluted corner columns on a plain base with canted corners, on bracket feet, height approx 224cm, with pendulum and weight (alterations and restoration).
