LOT 1040
A George III mahogany cased circular wall timepiece with brass fusee movement, the silvered dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes and inscribed 'J. Leroux, Charing Cross', within a moulded circular surround, the oak box with hinged doors, diameter approx 42cm (some faults), with pendulum and winding key. Note: John Leroux is recorded in Baillie 'Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World' as an eminent maker who worked in Charing Cross from 1781 to 1808.
