A pair of Arts and Crafts Cotswold School oak comb back elbow chairs, designed by Edward Barnsley, the burgundy leather drop-in seats raised on moulded block legs, height approx 94cm, width approx 59cm, one bearing carved 'AM' cypher. Note: Edward Barnsley first produced this design for the coronation of Edward VIII in 1936 and it remained in production for government offices and ministries.
