A Japanese parquetry inlaid cabinet, Meiji period, with foliate engraved brass hinges, handles, escutcheons and mounts, the top, back and sides finely inlaid with a trellis design, the pair of hinged doors with similarly inlaid borders framing panels of geometric motifs, the door interiors lacquered with birds and prunus, the interior with an arrangement of five drawers above a further frieze drawer, approx 69cm x 75cm, on a later painted Chinese Chippendale style stand, total height approx 141cm.
