A near pair of Straits Chinese famille rose baba-nyonya ware export porcelain vases, mid-19th Century, each shouldered body enamelled with opposing pea green ground panels filled with peacock, peony, prunus and cranes with lotus, reserved against a pink ground decorated with turquoise and white lotus and tendrils, beneath applied chilong and Buddhistic lion handles to the similarly decorated flared neck, height approx 35cm (one with chip and hairline to rim, the other with small chip to rim).
