A Meissen porcelain potpourri jar and cover with bud finial, 18th Century, of ovoid form with pierced rim, painted with a Kauffahrtei scene of ladies, gentleman, merchants and porters on a quayside before boats, ships and a fort above a double iron-red line support, raised on three moulded gilt enriched winged griffon mask shouldered legs terminating in paw feet, crossed swords in underglaze blue to base, height approx 18cm.
