SAILING. - H.W. TILMAN. In Mischief's Wake. London: Hollis & Carter, 1971. First edition, 8vo (214 x 137mm.) Original boards (head and foot of spine lightly bumped, spine slightly faded), dust-jacket (slightly bumped and lightly browned to backstrip). Together with an a.l.s. by Tilman addressed to Mr Gilkes, dated '29 August 1972', discussing a 'troublesome voyage' (225 x 177mm.) - And thirty-three other volumes, mostly by David Lewis, Miles Smeeton and Eric Hiscock (including: Rozelle RAYNES. 'A Boat Called Martha, The Story of Martha McGilda'. Donington: Shaun Tyas, 2001, signed by the author to title-page). Provenance: The Michael Gilkes Collection (34).
