First edition, 4to (208 x 163mm.) Frontispiece, decorative title, numerous plates. (Light browning and occasional spotting.) Original cloth (extremities bumped, scuffed and soiled, spine discoloured, indistinct inscription to front-free endpaper). - And a quantity of other volumes relating to sailing and cruising (including: Charles H. VILAS. 'Far Horizons Volume II, Adventures in Cruising by Members of the Cruising Club of America'. [N.p.: 1981.] Facsimile from vol. I, 4to. Provenance: Al Stanford (dedication inscription to Commodore Al Stanford and co-editors Dave Bacon and Carl Vilas from Commodore Alan Bemis to half-title). Provenance: The Michael Gilkes Collection (a quantity).
