Putnam's Sons, 1925. First edition, 8vo (236 x 153mm.) Frontispiece, 2 folding maps, numerous uncoloured plates and illustrations. (Browning, some offsetting, occasional minor soiling, marginal tears without loss to pp.ix-xii, 91-92, 1 folding map torn and repaired with tape.) Original green gilt cloth, t.e.g. (extremities bumped and scuffed, minor soiling, pictorial front-free endpaper clipped with loss). Spence 615. Provenance: Capt. John F. Edgar (presentation inscription from 'Frank Garlichs, Christmas 1926' to preliminary blank); Clarence E. Ryan (inscription 'Donated to Dossin Museum' dated '1962' to preliminary blank); Dr. D.D.
