XCI-XCII, 8vo (220 x 138mm.) 2 portrait frontispieces, 10 single-page maps, 10 folding maps (2 in pockets at rear), numerous uncoloured illustrations. (Light browning and spotting, occasional minor soiling.) Original blue cloth blocked in gilt and blind (extremities lightly bumped and scuffed, minor damp stains), dust-jackets (browning and spotting, chipped and minor tears). Provenance: The Michael Gilkes Collection.
