A Doulton Lambeth silver mounted Artists Rifles stoneware tyg, circa 1876, by Frank Butler, the ovoid body incised with blue scrolling foliate enriched with white beading and small blue flowerheads on a brown glazed ground, framing three applied buff relief panels, two depicting the crowned crest and motto 'Cum Marte Minerva', the other with a peacock and motto 'Me Juvat Ire Peraltum', all below a silver rim, London 1876, impressed factory marks and incised artist's monogram to base, height approx 15cm (cracked and repaired).
