A Worcester porcelain tankard, circa 1765-70, the cylindrical body printed in black after Robert Hancock with a hunting scene depicting 'The Chase', with huntsmen galloping with hounds as a fox disappears up a path in the distance, unmarked, bearing 'D.V Pares Wilson Collection' paper label to base, height approx 12.2cm. Note: the fine series of Worcester prints known as 'The Foxhunt' were adapted from a 1755 engraving by Thomas Burford from the original James Seymour painting of 'The Chase'. This print is usually seen on the exterior of a punch bowl.
