A mid-19th Century French ormolu and porcelain double-sided twin-faced centre table clock with eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the pendulum suspension adjuster detailed 'Brocot Propte', one side with enamel circular dial with blue Roman hours and Arabic minutes and inscribed 'Howell James & Co. Paris', the opposing side with porcelain circular dial above other porcelain panels, all painted with polychrome and gilt scrolls and strapwork, the case with porcelain and ormolu urn surmount above four turned and foliate finials, atop cast foliate corner columns, the sides cast in relief with scroll and strapwork panels, on a rectangular base with similarly cast corner columns and feet, height approx 71.5cm, with pendulum, key and giltwood stand.
