A Japanese cast iron tsuba, late Edo period, of quatrelobed outline, one side decorated in relief and inlaid in silver with a seated scholar and attendant being approached by a stork beneath a blossoming prunus branch, unsigned, length approx 7.6cm, together with another cast iron oval tsuba, late Edo period, cast in relief with a standing scholar beneath a prunus branch, signed, length approx 6.8cm.
