A Japanese carved ivory and boxwood okimono figure, Meiji period, modelled as a standing farmer holding a hoe over his right shoulder, a fan in his left hand and a tobacco pouch hanging from his belt, on a carved naturalistic wood base, incised and stained signature to pouch, height approx 27.5cm (minor repair to fan).
