COLLINS, Arthur. The Peerage of England… the fifth edition. London: printed for W. Strahan et al., 1779. 9 vols. including supplemental vol., 8vo (213 x 125mm.) 228 engraved plates. (Some browning and light spotting.) Contemporary calf, spines gilt in six compartments with raised bands, lettering pieces in the second and third, the other compartments with repeat decoration in gilt (extremities bumped and scuffed, some joints splitting, spines darkened, lettering pieces to vols. I, VII and IX have been replaced). Provenance: Sir William Jerningham Bart. (armorial bookplate); John Martineau (bookplate).
