LOT 2003
An early Victorian rosewood centre table, in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster, the bead and reel moulded top inset with green leather above two frieze drawers, raised on a pair of twin supports carved with feather decorated knops, the four cabriole legs terminating in scaly reptilian claw and ball feet, height approx 73cm, length approx 114cm, depth approx 65cm (faults). Note: an illustration of a similar claw foot can be seen on a pair of tables on page 263, plate 267, in 'Gillows of Lancaster and London 1730-1840' by Susan E. Stuart.
