A Continental white stoneware tankard, probably Thuringian, 18th/19th Century, of slightly tapered cylindrical form, painted to the front with a sabre wielding soldier on horseback, the loop handle mounted with a pewter hinge lid, painted 'M' to base, height approx 23.8cm (hairline to rim and chip to foot).
